Our orgnisation is slower to adapt than it ought to be due to lack of strategic alignment within the senior leadership We seem stuck in reactive patterns with different functions working against, rather than with each other (crisis mngt, chronic firefighting, stuck in the immediate). There is fragmented commitment to our purpose and limited ability to collaborate (e.g. departments pursuing different agenda, inconsistent understanding and culture) My leadership team struggles to translate our strategy into clear direction and priority for their team. My leadership team can tend to manage reactively, focusing on immediate issues and repeatedly dealing with the same problem. I see people unclear about priority, frequently shifting focus or working on non-strategic activities. I notice people struggling to complete their work effectively, often appearing stressed, overwhelmed or disorganised. I observe employees showing signs of disengagement, resistance to change, or defensive behaviours (e.g. minimal participation in discussions, argumentative response to feedback). I get the sense that people in our organisation feel uncertain about direction and their role in it. I am noticing signs that people are struggling with workload or engagement - such as absenteeism, stress leave, overworking to point of burnout, disengagement, declining quality.
